The famous Hollywood actor that played the lead role in “The Butterfly Effect,” Ashton Kutcher, returned one of his past activities: modeling and strutting down the catwalk; this time around in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Sao Paulo is the largest city in Brazil. This city’s climate is quite warm, as it tends to average out at a temperature maximum of 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit approximately) in the summer, throughout the months of November and March; while the lowest temperature in the winter averages out at 6 degrees Celsius (43 degrees Fahrenheit approximately) between the months of June and July.

Ashton Kutcher, who is married to the well known actress Demi Moore, was part of the latest Fashion Week held in Brazil. He was part of the Colcci fashion show, which was one of the participating designers at this year’s week of fashion held in the classy city of Sao Paulo, where top model Giselle Bundchen also participated.

If you’re in Sao Paulo, you’d be able to visit various structures and monuments, like its wonderful theme parks, its leisure parks where you’d be able to pass the time in relaxation, or you could perhaps pay a visit to one of its two astonishing stadiums.

If you’re looking for more entertainment and art, Sao Paulo counts with around 300 different movie theaters, over 100 theater houses, 70 museums and various cultural centers.

And if what you want is to go on a shopping spree, Sao Paulo will offer you an ample variety of stores and boutiques with absolutely everything you could possibly imagine for sale. Throughout the length of Sao Paulo you’ll find a number of streets and avenues hosting open air markets and craft fairs, that offer all kinds of traditional craftworks as well as many other commercial and consumer products catering to all tastes and needs.

One of Sao Paulo’s charms (it has plenty!) is its culinary art- it has all kinds of restaurants where you’d be able to find meals at all price ranges and tastes to satisfy any and all of its visitors.

For example, you could try a “saladito” served over a counter, or you could try the pasta cafes, panchitos, and then move on over to the most exquisite international menus offering the best cuisine that can be found- since they serve dishes that channel flavors and combinations that range from over 40 different countries around the world.

You can be sure that even the most exacting palate will be more than satisfied with the options at offer in Sao Paulo.

Sao Paulo is and excellent place to admire yourself along with the beauty of the city, and to enjoy to the maximum potential, the amiable and open ambiance that the city displays continuously. Whether day or night, you’ll always find the right establishment, ready to serve you.

Bon Voyage!

Florianopolis is the capital of Santa Catarina, a Brazilian province. It’s a city that is primarily a beach haven and is located on an island of the same name. It also happens to be a tourist destination on high demand by travelers from all over the world. It can boast of having over 100 beaches scattered throughout its coastline (counting only the registered ones), as well as two great lagoons: Conceicao and Peri.

The city was actually founded under the name of “Nossa Senhora do Desterro” (in English it translates into Our Lady of Exile) on the 23rd of March in 1726. Centuries later, the name of the city was replaced with its current name Florianopolis, in honor of Brazilian ex-president Floriano Peixoto.

Florianopolis is divided into 12 districts: Sede, Barra da Lagoa, Cachoeira do Bom Jesus, Campeche, Canasvierias, Ingleses do Rio Vermelho, Lagoa da Conceicao, Pantano do Sul, Ratones, Ribeirao da Ilha, Santo Antonio de Lisboa, and Sao Joao do Rio Vermelho; and it is second in the country, after Brazil’s capital city Brasilia, in having the highest rate of urban development.

The climate found in Florianopolis is a tropical and warm one, with a minimum low temperature of about 10 degrees Celsius (approximately 50 degrees Farenheit) during the winter season and a maximum of 26 degrees Celsius (approximately 78.8 degrees Fahrenheit) for the summer months. There’s a median average temperature of about 24 degrees Celsius (approximately 75 degrees Farenheit) and certain seasons when there is quite a bit of rain between the months of January and March.

The island of Santa Catarina measures about 54 kilometers in length and about 18 kilometers in width (33 miles in length and 11 miles in width approximately). The Atlantic coast of Santa Catarina undulates and creates many inlets, bays and lagoons. In its interior it’s got many low elevated mountains. The area’s highest point is the Morro do Ribeirao, with over 500 meters (1640 feet approximately) in altitude.

As a tourist, the best way to get to the city is by plane and the Hercilio Luz International Airport. Florianopolis is actually a great commercial center. The population is made up of descendents of Italian, Polish and Russian immigrants that arrived on the island around the XVIII century.

This place is not to be missed if you’re traveling to Brazil and are in search of beautiful beaches.

The Waterfalls of Iguazú are the most important natural tourist destination shared by the border of Brazil and Argentina (the same border that is located very close to the common border these two countries have with Paraguay). Its name comes from the Guarani language (the predominant ethnic group of the region) and means “Great Waters”.

Baptised by the Spanish conquistadors as the “Saltos de Santa María”, the waterfalls constitute an enormous and beautiful natural system of 270 water falls and jumps of more than 80 meters high. The scenery is impressive and, because of this, is considered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

The highest fall of the Waterfalls of Iguazu is the famous “Garganta del Diablo”, an imposing cascade 80 meters high, situated on the Argentinian side. This fall can be appreciated in all its splendor at a distance of a mere 50 meters, from an observation point constructed especially with this in mind. It is important to know that in Argentina as well as Brazil, national parks are created around these waterfalls in order to preserve the diversity in flora and fauna without inhibiting the possibility for tourists to enjoy such a beautiful destination.

In order to reach the cascades, you can travel by train along the Argentinian side, by helicopter on the Brazilian side, and they can also be reached by boat. The power of the waters of Iguazu is taken advantage of by the hydroelectric dam of Itaipu, administered by Brazil and Paraguay, and the same one that supplies almost 40% of the demand for electricity in Brazil and Argentina.

A beautiful natural destination with all the commodities necessary to reach them, large and luxurious hotels and a monumental scenic experience. Iguazu is an obligatory stop for all nature lovers.
