Koa’tiki is born from a dream or a wish of having humanity be closer and coexist better with nature. This is how in May of 2003 this great adventure began, by offering our lodgers the opportunity to live a totally different experience with a 100% personalized service to the individual.

Located at just 5 to 6 hours away from the city of Lima- and by passing through the three natural regions of our country (coastal, mountainous and forest)- you’ll find yourself in the Valley of Chanchamayo, which today is also known as one of the Ecological Reserves of Peru.

The Chanchamayo reserve has a real richness in flora and fauna with diverse, varied species of orchids, ferns, heliconia plants, bromelia plants, palms, fungi (mushroom species), and timber producing trees. As well as all kinds of, birds, butterflies, insects, reptiles, primates, marsupials, bears, venison and fish.

NARANJAS

The geography of this area is defined in many ways: by the presence of mountains, waterfalls, cascades, canyons, rivers, caves etc… It also have a cultural history with deep ancestry thanks to the existence of the Ashaninkas (a Peruvian ethnic group- the largest indigenous group in the Peruvian amazon) and the Austrian-German colonies of Oxapampa, Villarica and Pozuzo. In regards to the agriculture industry of Chanchamayo, it can be said that they have the First Place Gold position at a worldwide level (bestowed in France), for the BEST harvest of organic coffee. All of these, are the reason why this place has turned into the paradise of Eco-friendly tourism and adventure sports.

Koa’tiki has an area of 80,00 square meters (861 square feet), so that those that visit us will feel a real sense of freedom and space while here. It also has plots of cultivated lands or plantations with citrus fruits and plantains/bananas. There are areas here, that are in a natural process of decay, where the observation of butterflies and other insects of the zone is ideal.

The design of our octagonal bungalows and the interior decoration is a fusion of authentic materials found within the jungle/forest with touches of urban living. From within, you’re able to have a spectacular, clear view of the valley of the Colorado river… reaching an ample panoramic vista of 180 degrees, just by looking out from your windows. Each one of our bungalows includes a spacious bathroom and its own private terrace.

The waters of this area have been channeled and sourced directly from a natural spring in the mountains, 2 kilometers ( 1 mile) away, which feeds into our water network and also replenishes the man-made lagoon (163 cubed meters or 5756 cubed feet).

LAGUNA-3

As we do have access to electric power sources 24 hours a day, you will have every commodity necessary and the ability to use acclimatized water for your showers and electricity and lighting at night. We also have a dining hall (Club House) where breakfast is offered. If you’d like, in addition, you have the option of making use of our daily menu offered at your convenience for dinner options as well.

Finally, in addition, Koa’tiki counts with internal circuits in which you can take guided walks directed by our personnel, where you’d be able to experience first hand the beautiful waterfalls landscapes, cascades, birds, butterflies and insects in their natural habitats. In this unique, Eco-friendly way, Koa’tiki puts at your reach a space where you can relate to nature, experience it and appreciate it in the most comfortable manner. Truly unforgettable.
