The Jorge Chavez international airport has been voted best in South America, according to the president Alan Garcia. Exceeding the airports of Brazil and Argentina, 10 million flyers voted in favor of Jorge Chavez.

“Lima Airport Partners is the business that runs the airport of Lima and Callao, and we have received the excellent news that our airport has been voted as the best one in South America, and moreover, that this vote was made by 10 million travelers,” Garcia stated.

According to the agency Andina, in the Governmental Palace, the president declared that Jorge Chavez exceeded in votes the airports of Sao Paulo and Ezeiza in Argentina. He added that this designation filled the country with pride, and showed the extent of the airlines’ interest in Lima’s terminal.

The Peruvian president reunited with the president of Fraport AG, Stefan Schulte, the president of the Directory of Lima Airport Partners, Jorge von Wedemeyer, and the general manager of the said business, Jaime Daily, in a meeting which the minister of Transportation and Communication, Enrique Cornejo, also attended.

Alan García indicated that Lima Airport Partners will soon make an announcement regarding its investments and the new projects it has for the expansion of the Jorge Chavez international airport.
