In Lima you have a wide range of choices. I would say finding a gym here is about the same as finding one anywhere in the world. Most importantly is the distance from home to the gym because if it’s too far you’ll never want to go. The gym is supposed to be something you attend a few times a week so keep it as close as possible. The second aspect to consider is your budget. For example Gold’s Gym, a chain which as 10 locations around Lima, can cost anywhere between $30-80/month depending on the package.
Like almost everything in Lima prices tend to be negotiable when in person. I would suggest finding a gym you like and sitting down with a representative there to see how they can make it work for you. I once negotiated a pass that would allow me to enter the Gold’s Gym 40 times over a period of 6 months which was no where to be found on any website or advertisement. I did this by showing up and telling them how often I would go and what amenities I would be using at their gym. Sometimes a monthly package includes a bunch of stuff you would never use so tell them and see what they can do for you.
Besides private gyms you can also try clubs. In Lima there are a few private clubs, which can be interesting depending on your needs. For examples there is a Club Terrazas, Club de Regatas, and Centro Naval. Each of these clubs has their own special touch and most offer family packages. You might also want to try the big hotels such as the Marriott or Lima Golf Club. Blogalaxia Tags: Fitness center, Lima, Gym, Clubs. Image: FriendLima1 Related postsWrite your comment
