This dazzling construction is found is Brussels, Belgium. With five levels and a depth of 33 meters, it needs 2.5 million liters of water in order to completely fill it. Not for nothing is it considered the deepest pool in the world.
Construction started in the year 2000 and it was finalized four years later. Every level has under water caves, air ducts and windows, so that the interior of the pool can be observed from the outside. John Beernaerts, who was in charge of the project, wanted to create a pool with multiple purposes: to be a place where deep sea divers can practice, as a recreation space and as a place where movies that take place in the ocean can be filmed.
That is to say, in this pool one may live out the same sensation as diving into the deepest depths of the ocean without fearing encountering octopi, sharks or giant eels, something that, until now, could not be achieved. It might be the ideal place for those deep sea divers looking for a place to train and reach new records. It is not necessary to use a neoprene suit in this pool since the constant temperature in its entire surface is 30ºC. On the other hand, another of its attractive points is that it has no chlorine. Nemo 33 is maintained through the performance of its high filters and controlled by the necessary certificates of optimum heating.
